Symposium for English Language Teachers with the Participation of Professors from the United Kingdom
10On March 3, during the visit to Turkmenistan of Professors M. Sevier and S. Khan from Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom), a symposium for English language teachers was held at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. The event was organized within the framework of the educational project aimed at improving the quality of English language teaching in Central Asia (AELLCA) and brought together professors and teachers from higher educational institutions of the country. Among the participants were J. Shaveliyeva, Head of the Department of English Stylistics and Grammar; A. Annadurdyeva, lecturer of the same department S. Babayeva and Sh. Atayeva; as well as G. Dovletov, Head of the Department of English Phonetics and Lexicology.
