On June 19, instructors from the Department of Social Studies and second-year students majoring in Social work participated in a methodological conference held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University with experts from United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in Turkmenistan. The conference aimed at preparing for the upcoming “Practical Training”.



On June 18–19, within the framework of the European Union’s ERASMUS+ project “Strengthening Higher Education in the Water Sector for Climate Sustainability and Security in Central Asia” (HWCA), instructors from the Department of Ecology and members of the project’s working group participated in training sessions conducted via videoconference by Professor Filippo Menga from the University of Bergamo, Italy.



On June 18, G. Garyagdyev, a lecturer from the Department of Ecology, participated in a training seminar on the principles and benefits of strategic environmental assessment. The seminar was jointly organized by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan and was held at the OSCE Headquarters in Ashgabat.



On June 18, D. Baymyradov, senior lecturer at the Department of Social Studies and S. Kakajikov, a lecturer from the same department, took part in a training session for social work professionals. The session was conducted via videoconference by the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in Turkmenistan.



On June 18, Sh. Jumaeva, a French language teacher at the Department of Romano-Germanic Languages, participated in a conference on professional development courses via videoconference held by the Francophonie Center.



On June 16, a training course entitled “Digitalization, IT and Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education” was held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University. The event brought together university professors, teachers, and students and took place as part of the working visit of Dr. Melda Yıldız, a specialist from the United States Fulbright Exchange Program, to Turkmenistan.



On February 12, B. Divangulyeva, head of the UNESCO Chair “Cultural Heritage: From the Past to the Future” at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, participated as a listener in a virtual seminar organized by the UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Program Team in Paris, France. The seminar focused on the development of cultural heritage and technologies for sustainable development.



On February 11, representatives of Magtymguly Turkmen State University participated in a virtual meeting with the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the International University for the Humanities and Development. During the discussion, participants explored potential opportunities for establishing cooperation with the University of St Andrews.



From February 10 to 12, lecturers from the Department of Psychology and Social Sciences, along with first- and second-year students of the Social Work program at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, participated in training sessions and joint classes with an international expert. These sessions were held as part of the visit of Dr. Salome Namicheishvili, an international consultant on social work for UNICEF, an associate professor at Tbilisi State University, and the head of the Bachelor’s Program in Social Work. The training focused on courses to be taught during the second semester and involved discussions between lecturers and students.



On February 10, lecturers B.Jumayev and R.Myradov from the Department of Information Systems and Technologies participated in an event held at the State Library of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. The event was organized by the Embassy of India in Turkmenistan to celebrate the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day.



G.Hamrayev, head of the Department of Hydrometeorology and a Candidate of Geographical Sciences, participated in the international environmental competition “EcoMir – 2024”, organized by the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Russian Federation. He presented a project titled “Mathematical Calculation of Sand Movement Under Wind Influence in Desert Areas and Methods for Its Stabilization”, earning a third-degree laureate diploma and a competition medal. On February 7, G.Hamrayev also attended the award ceremony via video conference, where the competition results were summarized.



On February 5, B.Divangulyeva, head of the “Cultural Heritage: From the Past to the Future” UNESCO Chair at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, along with faculty members and students, participated via video conference in a training seminar organized related to the 2025 International Year of Peace and Trust titled “International Year of Peace and Trust: Cooperation for the Benefit of Improving the Education System” which was organized jointly by the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and the country’s network of UNESCO Chairs, Clubs, and Associated Schools.



On February 4, the chief specialist of the Professional Development Department of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, S.Hayytgulyev, along with M.Hudayberdiyev, a lecturer from the Pedagogy Department, and M.Nazarova, a lecturer from the Department of Romance-Germanic Languages, participated in a meeting via video conference with experts from the European Training Foundation’s “Dialogue and Action for Talented Youth in Central Asia” (DARYA) project.



On January 29-30, B.Abayeva, a Young Ambassador for 2024-2025 and a fourth-year student of the English Language and Literature major participated in the regional youth training seminar titled “The Interconnection of drops of future – Water, Energy, and Food Security” held by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) at the Yildyz Hotel in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.



On January 28, senior lecturers S.Hummedov, Y.Garajayev, and E. Gurbandurdyeva from the Department of Hydrometeorology participated in a roundtable organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Turkmenistan Office. The event held at the Ministry of Nature Protection of Turkmenistan’s Hydrometeorological Service building, focused on the implementation of projects related to the enforcement of Turkmenistan’s Law on Hydrometeorology.



On January 28, a meeting was held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University with the participation of Kumar Shrestan, Global Technical leader of the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) in the United Kingdom, and Joyce Laker, Global Experience Leader, alongside representatives of the university.



On January 24, S.Atayeva, a lecturer from the department of Psychology, and H.Handurdyev, a lecturer from the Department of Constitutional Law, participated in a working meeting with representatives of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).



Between January 13-21, H.Myratgeldiyeva, a fourth-year law student at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, participated in a short-term training program in Tokyo, Japan. The program was part of Japan’s MIRAI educational initiative under the direction of “Rule of Law”.



On January 21, as part of its membership in the International Assosiation of Universities (IAU), S.Annagulyev, a lecturer from the Department of English Stylistics and Grammar, and B. Jumayev, a lecturer from the department of Information Systems and Technologies at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, participated virtually in the IAU webinar series “The Future of Higher Education.” The session was titled “Ill-defined Concepts: The Issue of Responsible Internationalization”.



On January 21, a meeting was held between the rector of Magtymguly Turkmen State University and Westminster University professors Andrew Lin and Anastasiva Bezborodova to discuss bilateral cooperation.



On January 21, a virtual meeting was held to discuss the development of joint cooperation between Magtymguly Turkmen State University and B.B.Gorodovikov Kalmyk State University of the Russian Federation. The meeting was attended by representatives of both universities’ administrations as well as a representative of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.



On January 20-21, lecturers and students of the Faculty of English language and literature of Magtymguly Turkmen State University participated in a professional development seminar held at the International University for the Humanities and Development. The seminar featured the participation of Westminster University professors Andrew Lin and Anastasiya Bezborodova.



On January 14, Italian language lecturers and students specializing in Italian language and literature participated in a meeting held during the visit of a delegation led by E.Cirielli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy to Turkmenistan.



On January 14, S.Hudaynazarov, a lecturer from the Department of Ecology, participated in a roundtable discussion organized during the working visit of UNDP international expert Ivan Filyutich to Turkmenistan. The event was held as part of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project titled “Advancing the National Process of Adaptation Planning in Turkmenistan”.



Between January 13 to 17, lecturers A.Jeyhunov and A.Annadurdyeva from the Department of English Stylistics and Grammar, J.Atamuradova and M.Maksadova from the Department of English Phonetics and Lexicology, as well as K.Hangulyev from the Department of Foreign Languages participated in training sessions aimed at enhancing the professional skills of English language teachers in secondary schools and higher educational institutions. These sessions were conducted at the U.S. “English Language Specialist (ELSPEC) program during the visit of Professor Beth Clark-Gareca from New York University to Turkmenistan.



From January 8 to 12, G.Dovletov, a lecturer of the Department of English Stylistics and Grammar, participated in a professional development training program held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The training was organized by the British Council for experienced English language specialists from higher educational institutions.



On January 6, based on the letter No. 366 from the Office of the President of Turkmenistan dated January 4, 2025, Rector O.Ovezsahedov attended a meeting at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan with M.Kirazoglu, the Education Councellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkiye in Turkmenistan.



On December 28, the lecturers of the Department of Oriental languages A.Allaguliyev, Sh.Kadyrova, K.Charyyeva, and N.Hezziyeva, along with the second year student majoring in the Chinese language and literature O.Allanurova participated in the event titled “Enjoying Chinese Cuisine – Exploring the Charm of Culture”, which was organized at “Yyldyz” Hotel by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan in celebration of the New Year.



On December 23, S.Gochumova, senior lecturer of the Department of Constitutional Law, participated in an informational and practical seminar “On the development of international humanitarian law and key issues of implementing its norms at the national level” held by the International Committee of the Red Cross in Turkmenistan at the Archabil Hotel.



On December 23, a meeting dedicated to environmental protection and water diplomacy between professors and teachers of higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and the Somali Federal Republic was attended via videoconference by Sh.Ashyrmyradova, head of the Ecology department, coordinator of the project “Strengthening Higher Education in the Water Sector for Climate Resilience and Security in Central Asia” (HWCA) at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission, presented her topic “The Importance of Higher Education and International Cooperation in Adapting to Climate Change in Central Asia” and G.Hamraev, head of the Hydrometeorology department, candidate of geographical sciences, displayed his presentation on the theme “Study of the Movement of Aklang Sands in Western Turkmenistan”.



From December 14 to 20, J.Gylychlyev, a lecturer at the Department of Geography, participated in the regional conference “Stepping into the Future Together: Central Asia and the United States,” held within the framework of the US “C5+Opening Networks in English” (C5+ONE) program.



From November 30 to December 22, Acting Head of the Academic Department, B.Annagylyjov, participated in a work trip to the United States on higher education administration as part of the United States Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).



On December 18, as part of the “Turkological Studies” organized by the Kyrgyz National University named after J.Balasagyn of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of 16 higher educational institutions of the Turkic countries, a lecture entitled “The World of Magtymguly or the Creativity of Magtymguly Pyragy, the Great Thinker of the Turkic World and the Outstanding Poet of the East” was held via live video link, conducted by the Head of the Department of Turkmen Literature, Candidate of Philological Sciences A.Shyhnepesov.



On December 13, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan held a ceremony to present textbooks and books to Magtymguly Turkmen State University with the participation of Embassy representatives, in order to support the teaching of the Chinese language.



On December 13, S.Atayeva, a lecturer at the Department of Psychology, and H.Handurdyev, a lecturer at the Department of Constitutional Law, participated in a working meeting with UNODC representatives held by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Turkmenistan at the UN building in Ashgabat.



On December 10-11, instructor and students of the Faculty of Law participated in a mixed-format training seminar “Commercial and Investment Arbitration” within the framework of the United States Agency for International Development project “Governance in Turkmenistan”.



On December 10, the head of the UNESCO Department at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, B.Diwanguliyeva, a teacher of the Department of History of Turkmenistan, M.Mommaliyeva, and active students of the UNESCO Department from the Faculty of History, Z.Yusupova, M.Sopytaganova, O.Ashyrmamedov, and N.Maksadov, participated in the “World Cultures” creative festival organized by UNESCO departments and clubs at the Institute of International Relations on the occasion of International Neutrality Day.

On December 9-10, B.Abayeva, the Young Ambassador for 2024-2025, a 3rd-year student of English Language and Literature Faculty, participated in a youth training seminar on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, organized by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) at the UN building in Ashgabat.



On December 5, teachers and students of our university participated in a seminar called “Information Day on Capacity Building in Higher Education Program of the Erasmus+ (CBHE)” via videoconference.



On December 5, within the framework of the “Agreement on Cooperation between Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the V.M.Lomonosov Moscow State University”, P.Durdygylyjov, a lecturer at the Department of World History, participated in the international scientific conference “The Growing Role of Asian and African Countries in the World Economy and International Economic Relations” organized by the History of Asian and African Countries Institute of the Partner Higher Education Institution, via videoconference, with a scientific report entitled “The Role of Turkmenistan in the Development of Foreign Economic Relations of Eurasia”.

From December 3-6, teachers and students of the Faculty of Law participated in a seminar entitled “Implementation of International Human Rights Standards in the Application of Criminal Law” hosted by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) at Magtymguly Turkmen State University.



From November 25 to December 3, A.Yollyev, a instructor of the Department of Mathematical Analysis, and a group of students of our university participated in the International Mathematical Olympiad among students of higher education institutions (RUDN MATH OLYMP-2024) organized by the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of the Russian Federation in Moscow and won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. In the “Best Problem Designing” competition held during the Olympiad, Sh.Nurjanova, a 4th year student majoring in mathematics, won the Grand Prize.



On November 29, Young Ambassador for 2024-2025, a 3rd-year student of English Language and Literature Faculty, B.Abayeva participated in a training workshop on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, organized by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Turkmenistan at the UN building in Ashgabat, as part of the working visit of UNICEF expert Ivan Filusic to our country.



On November 21-22, teachers of the Department of Romance and Germanic Languages ​​and students majoring in Italian Language and Literature participated in a master class led by the chefs of this country, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Turkmenistan in the framework of the Italian Cuisine Week.

From October 22 to 26, S.Atayev, senior lecturer of the Department of Archaeology and Ethnology, candidate of historical sciences, participated in the opening ceremony of Magtymguly Pyragy corner at Allama Iqbal Open University in Islamabad, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and took part in a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the creative work of the Sage Poet.

From January 29 to October 20, 2024, J.Gylychlyev, instructor of the Geography Department of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, and M.Begdurdyeva, instructor of the Ecology Department, participated in English language training for energy and environmental protection specialists, held within the framework of the C5 + O.N.E. (Opening Networks through English) program of the United States of America.



From October 19 to 23, B. Divanguliyeva, Head of the UNESCO Chair “Cultural Heritage: From the Past to the Future” at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Candidate of Historical Sciences, paid a visit to Minsk, Belarus, organized by the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, with the aim of establishing close relations with UNESCO clubs and chairs established in the Republic of Belarus and studying their valuable experience.



On October 19, K. Chariyeva, an instructor of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, participated with her presentation on the theme “Educational and Cultural Relations between Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China” via videoconference in the international scientific conference “Scientific Research on the Regional Studies and Country Studies of Central Asia” organized by the Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics of the People’s Republic of China.

On October 15, at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the rector of the University for Foreigners of Perugia of the Republic of Italy, Professor Valerio De Cesaris, conducted a lecture for students of the Faculty of Romance-Germanic and Oriental Languages ​​of our higher education institution.



On October 14, the signing ceremony of the “Memorandum of Understanding between Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the University for Foreigners of Perugia” was held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, with the aim of developing cooperation with the University for Foreigners of Perugia, Italy, taking advantage of the vast opportunities provided by our Hero-Arkadag and our Arkadagly Hero Serdar in developing international cooperation.



From July 30 to August 4, 2024, Aytach Hajiyeva, a third-year student of English language and literature faculty, participated in the International Forum of Volunteers of the CIS Participating States in the Kyrgyz Republic.



From July 20 to 31, the teacher of the department of physical chemistry N.Malikgulyeva and the teacher of the department of inorganic and analytical chemistry Y.Tulekov participated as the heads of the teams of school students from our country in the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad (ICho-2024) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
A total of 327 talented students from 84 countries participated in the International Chemistry Olympiad. Jumaev Rustem, a 10th grade student, and Atajanova Aigul, a 11th grade student of the specialized boarding school named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy in Ashgabat won silver medals, Dovletov Diyar, a 10th grade student, and Akmyradova Jeren, a 11th grade student of that school, won bronze medals.

From July 14 to 27, teachers of the department of Romano-Germanic languages K.Myradova, D.Nuryagdyeva and A.Agamyradova took part in professional development trainings on learning the Italian language held in the framework of the scholarship programme at the University of Perugia for Foreigners of the Republic of Italy.



From July 14 to 28, 2024, M.Nazarova, a teacher of the department of Romano-Germanic languages, participated in the professional development training “Language, Country Studies and Cultural Life” organized by the Goethe Institute in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany.



On July 23, Young Ambassador for 2024-2025, 3rd year student of English language and literature faculty B.Abaeva participated in the meeting held in the building of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan in preparation for the national conference of the youth of Turkmenistan on climate change.

Amanmedov, a teacher of the department of theoretical and experimental physics, participated as a head of a group of school students from our country in the training sessions to get prepared for the International Scientific Physics Olympiad (ISPhO-2024) organized by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Yugra-Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District, and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, for the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO-2024) to be held at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
A total of 103 talented students from 22 countries participated in the International Scientific Physics Olympiad. Nuryev Jumadurdy, a 12th-grade student of the specialized boarding school named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy in Ashgabat, and Janmyradov Mekangeldi, a 12th-grade student of the 97th specialized secondary school with in-depth language courses in Ashgabat, won bronze medals of the Olympiad, and Veljanova Aynabat, a 12th-grade student of the specialized boarding school named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy in Ashgabat, was awarded the consolation prize.



From July 17 to 19, teachers of the department of psychology S.Ataeva, S.Geldieva and teacher of the department of civil law Sh.Garaev attended the national training conference on the development of “The concept of programmes for the prevention of harmful habits” held at the “Yyldyz” hotel within the framework of the European Union the Central Asia Drug- Action Programme (CADAP).



On July 13, Chinese language teachers of the Department of Oriental Languages A. Allagulyev, Sh. Kadyrova, H. Yuysin and graduate student of Magtymguly Turkmen State University S. Szyasin, as well as students of Chinese language and literature, attended the “Enjoying the Tastes of China” reception organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan at the “Yyldyz” hotel.
