Faculty of Chemistry
1438The faculty was established in 2019 on the basis of the chemistry and biology faculty.
There are the departments of Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry at the faculty. Specialists in chemistry are trained in these departments.
The scientific-research works are being conducted on different issues in our faculty. From the research activities provided by the plan of action for the implementation of the State Program for the integrated development of chemistry science and technology in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025, such research works like “Scientific bases for the production of industrial compounds based on high fat carbon and petroleum carboxylic acids”, “Scientific bases for the production of organomineral fertilizers necessary for agriculture in Turkmenistan”, “Scientific bases of natural dyes for textiles using local raw materials” are planned to being held.
There are highly-equipped lecture rooms and practical training classrooms, laboratories directed to assess diploma papers and scientific-research works, language laboratories and computer classrooms, and reading halls. The laboratories of the faculty are equipped with the technologies of eminent companies.
At the faculty of chemistry there are literary-creative works, scientific-research works, consisting of several volumes of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the exhibition hall illustrating the role of the computer technologies in the development of chemical industry and natural resources through multimedia and information screens.
The graduates of the faculty of chemistry are given qualifications of “chemists, teachers”. They can work at the educational establishments, research institutions, appropriate ministries and sectoral agencies.
