Faculty of Law
1349The faculty was founded in 1950.
The faculty has departments of constitutional law, civil law and criminal law and specialists in the field of legal studies are trained there.
At the faculty scientific-research works are being carried out to develop civil-legal relations in Turkmenistan; state structure and legal system of Turkmenistan; principles and norms of international law; civil, criminal, family, entrepreneurship, labor and other fields of legal science. Teachers of the faculty actively participate in projects on improving the legal system based on agreements concluded between the Government of Turkmenistan and various countries or international organizations, and prepare legal literature, dissertations, monographs, and scientific articles for higher education institutions.
The faculty has special rooms for conducting educational games and other interactive activities, such as a forensic room, a courtroom.
Alumni of the faculty are qualified to work as “lawyers”. After graduation, they can work in governmental bodies, law enforcement agencies (prosecutor's office, courts, the Ministry of Justice, other government departments) and organizations in Turkmenistan.
