Faculty of Professional Development
1272In accordance with the Decree of Our Hero Arkadag, in April 2012, the Faculty of Professional Development was established at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, where more than 1,000 teachers of higher and secondary education institutions of the country attend refresher courses every year. In refresher courses, teachers acquire new modern teaching methods, broaden their professional knowledge and skills. They develop the level of professional knowledge on the basis of modern achievements of the international teaching experience, and learn new scientific information about the achievements in the relevant fields of science and technology.
Experienced professors and lecturers of the university teach on the basis of specially prepared curricula such courses as-basics of social-humanities, pedagogy and psychology, advanced computer-informational technologies and computerization, set of courses on the ways of integrating digital e-learning technologies to the education system, doing research work in higher educational institutions and ways to engage students in research.
The main goals of refresher courses are to develop significantly and to modernize the quality of education given in higher and secondary schools of the country in accordance with modern requirements.
