Cooperation Agreement was signed between TSU and the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara
5On April 22, an online signing ceremony of the “Agreement on Cooperation between Magtymguly Turkmen State University (Turkmenistan) and the University ‘G. d’Annunzio’ of Chieti-Pescara (Italian Republic)” was held with the participation of the leadership and faculty members of both universities.
During the ceremony, the two sides officially signed the agreement aimed at strengthening academic cooperation between the institutions.
During the ceremony, the two sides exchanged views on the consistent advancement of bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education, as well as on new perspectives and priority areas of collaboration.
In particular, within the framework of the newly signed agreement, the parties aim to combine efforts to establish and develop cooperation in science and education, improve professional qualifications, and train highly qualified specialists. Among the planned activities are the exchange of faculty members and students, sharing experience in improving teaching methodologies, organizing joint classes for students with the participation of professors from both universities, launching joint scientific research projects and academic exchanges, and jointly participating in international events held at the universities.
As is well known, at present effective cooperation is being carried out between Magtymguly Turkmen State University and professors, researchers from higher educational institutions, scientific research institutions, as well as architects of the Italian Republic. In order to further strengthen this cooperation, various events are regularly organized by the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Turkmenistan.
With the support of the Embassy, every year Italian language instructors of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, as well as students of Italian Language and Literature, take part in professional development programs and study visits at higher educational institutions of the friendly country.
It should also be noted that the University “Gabriele d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara is one of the most prestigious public higher education institutions in Italy. Being an internationally recognized university, it is considered a leading centre of scientific research of global significance in such fields as history, geology, engineering, architecture, medicine, and psychology.
Particularly noteworthy are the university’s extensive research activities carried out in cooperation with universities of Central Asian countries in the field of humanities – especially archaeology, cultural heritage, and modern history.
The parties expressed their gratitude to the Heads of State of both countries for the high-level organization of the ceremony dedicated to the signing of an important cooperation document aimed at mutually beneficial and promising future scientific projects.
